Abhay Deol (born in 1973, India) is an Indian film actor. He is the nephew of famous veteran actor Dharmendra and cousin of actors Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol and actress Esha Deol.

He made his film debut in the 2005 film Socha Na Tha opposite Ayesha Takia which was produced by his uncle.

Abhay Deol said in an interview with Rediff that he didn't get into acting because of his famous cousins but that he was involved in theatre in school.At 18, he decided to take the plunge. It took him 10 years because he didn't want to leave his education to get into films.The film got him good reviews for his performance but it did not well at the box office.
His second film was Ahista Ahista in 2006 which was also a box office flop but got him good critical reviews. His first 2007 release was Honeymoon Travels Pvt. Ltd. which has a multi star cast and has emerged to be his first major box office hit.

His recent release was "Ek Chalis Ki Last Local" which is doing moderately well at the box office in select Mumbai theaters.

In an interview, he said he had four professions in mind: acting, painting, philosophy and journalism. He chose acting. He says he likes Iranian films because "they make something magical out of the simplest subjects."
